Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

iWoofu is built by pet parents, for pet parents. We believe your pet's health data is private and personal — and we've designed the app so that almost all of it never leaves your device.

1. Who we are

iWoofu is a pet tracking application available at iwoofu.app. If you have any questions about this policy, email us at hello@iwoofu.app.

2. What data we collect and where it lives

Short version: Your pet's records (health logs, medications, appointments, training, notes) are stored only on your device in your browser's local storage. We never see them, never store them on our servers.

Data stored on your device only (we never see this):

Data collected by Firebase Authentication (Google):

We use Firebase Authentication (a Google service) to manage sign-in. When you create an account or sign in with Google, Firebase collects:

Firebase's data handling is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

3. How we use your data

4. Third-party services

iWoofu uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

5. Cookies and local storage

iWoofu does not use tracking cookies. We use your browser's localStorage to store your pet's data on-device and to keep you signed in between sessions. This data never leaves your browser unless you choose to export it.

Firebase Authentication uses browser storage mechanisms (IndexedDB, localStorage) to maintain your sign-in session. These are essential for the app to function.

6. Data retention and deletion

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights including access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@iwoofu.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Because nearly all app data is stored locally on your device, you have direct control — you can view, export (via Print Report), or delete it at any time from within the app.

8. Children's privacy

iWoofu is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of iWoofu after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
